Our history of innovation
In 1988, Jeroen de Vries laid the foundation for Qliqpoint by establishing Horizon Software Engineering. This marked the beginning of a revolution in retail automation. In 1993, the company was renamed Softwear, and in 1996, Marco Mantel joined, further accelerating growth.
Our innovative mindset allowed us to pioneer the first online inventory management system in 2001. In 2013, we launched the first cloud-based cash register, setting a new standard in the retail industry. In 2025, the name Qliqpoint was born, further sharpening our mission and vision: to support entrepreneurs with the right tools to work optimally.
